    Etoricoxib 90 mg

Etoricoxib is employed for the treatment of pain, inflammation, and swelling in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout in adults above 16 years. In addition to this, it is also employed to treat dental surgery-induced moderate pain. Osteoarthritis is a bone disease characterized by degeneration, where the joint-supporting tissue deteriorates. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition where the immune system targets its tissue, causing inflammation and pain in the joints. Ankylosing spondylitis refers to inflammation of the spine and major joints. Gout involves pain and inflammation in the joints caused by the deposition of uric acid crystals.

Etoricoxib contains 'etoricoxib', which achieves its action through the inhibition of the release of a chemical messenger known as prostaglandin, which is released by COX-2 and is caused by pain, swelling, and inflammation. Etoricoxib is active in the site of the affected region and is targeted at the pain site. One advantage of the COX-2 inhibitors is that they cover the stomach lining against the effect of ulcers induced by other painkillers, ibuprofen, and aspirin.

    Medical Benefits:-

Etoricoxib consists of 'etoricoxib' which is an anti-inflammatory non-steroidal drug (NSAID). It has an analgesic (pain-reducing) and an anti-inflammatory (inflammation-reducing) effect. It is a COX-2 inhibitor. COX-2 enzymes are the enzymes that catalyze the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins, which are the inflammatory mediators. COX-2 blockage leads to a decrease in the production of prostaglandins, thus eventually pain and inflammation.
